I was disturbed, troubled, bothered to hear that when one of the group that just left today did a report on the Honduran political state of affairs...the "facts" were totally upside down from what we lived last year here. Instead of a power hungry guy trying to take over for the long term, our illustrious ex-president was portrayed as a simple victim of a powerful military coup, and that martial law ruled here for months.
Then I saw this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHlN3AnAyNo
I loved that we got props from ESPN...but the same things be spouted there left it a little sour in my mouth as well.
I believe that as a country we are so better off now than almost a year ago when all the problems/changes came about. It was not perfect, but far from what is portrayed in the US media, and far from what is portrayed here by ESPN.
I suppose that although a bit frightening...seeing and hearing this is enlightening, and eye opening even a little more about how the world really works, and that truth is really only found in God, and that we can know Him as truth, but the truth about what really happens often times is not what we are being shown.

I really hate to hear that there is still so much worry and misinformation going around about the Honduran Government. We were blessed to come there last July and work, and we're looking forward to coming back in 2 months.
The moral of the story is, don't believe the hype. The people of Honduras need your help and there is work to be done for the Kingdom, so trust in God and leave the rhetoric to the politicians.
